I’m not a pack mule!

I’m not a pack mule!

Why can’t I find what I want?! My first version of a sick day bag was a lunch cooler.

If you have ever met me, I’m not a girly girl. In fact I’m not sure I’ve ever really owned a real purse, or used one. So trying to find a bag I can have with me at all times, incase of emergency, to hold extra diabetes supplies, seemed to be a nearly impossible task.

I knew it needed to be insulated and have pockets. So I started with my lunch cooler.

Okay, it was just okay. It fit my lunch, an ice pack, insulin vial and needles in a ziploc bag, and glucose tabs. But I don’t want everything cold! I need more space! My French frustration may have come out a bit. I was carrying my cooler, plus work bag, plug another bag for pump supplies and glucagon. Ug!!

This stinks and I’m not a pack mule. This version failed.
